Another almost solo show.
Earagail Arts Festival commissioned Leoniepony to produce a new work inspired by the stories, anecdotes and fabulous tales of the people of Inishowen, culminating in a performance in Malin Village on July 8th and 9th 2017.
“Leoniepony is on a quest to uncover Inishowen and this show will be the result. Both easily bored and easily pleased, Leonie is a woman who strongly believes in making her own fun. Known for her irresistible enthusiasm for provoking and delighting an audience, come spend a joyous hour in the company of this irreverent performer as she regales the tales of this beloved peninsula.”
Leonie was bravely joined on stage by three members of the Foróige group based in Carndonagh, namely Bláthín, Ava and Amanda, who singlehandedly renewed Leonie’s faith in teenage girls. They also wrote some great jokes. Sincere thanks to them, the entire Foróige group for their brilliant stories and infectious energy and greatest thanks of all to their esteemed leader, Laura Duncan.
